Myler Loose Ring 3/8" Single Joint MB 09

This bit features loose ring cheeks and a Myler MB 09 3/8" single joint sweet iron mouthpiece. This is a Myler level 1 bit.

The MB 09 3/8" is a more comfortable Myler version of the traditional single-jointed mouthpiece. Although it lacks the benefits of a true Myler mouthpiece, it has a distinctive curve so the bars of the bit wrap around the horses bar and lips which make the bit more comfortable. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. Mouthpiece is 3/8" (9.5mm) thick instead of the standard 11mm.

The loose ring is a simple stainless steel "O" shape where both the bridle and mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but slides freely around the ring. The loose ring allows a lot of play as the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring.
